SPOTTED: Prince Charles meeting with lawmakers during a visit to the Capitol on Thursday.

{mosads}The heir to the British throne — wearing a striped suit and pocket square — was seen posing for photos with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, as well as members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, including Sens. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Tom Udall (D-N.M.) and Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.).

The prince was also seen chatting with Senate Sergeant at Arms Frank Larkin, who was sworn in in January.

The pit-stop on Capitol Hill was one of the last events scheduled as part of Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla’s, whirlwind tour of Washington, which also included visits to the White House, the Lincoln Memorial and the National Archives, among other sites.

The royal couple is poised to travel to Louisville, Ky., on Friday.
