Dem lawmaker tying the knot in Vegas

Rep. Cedric Richmond is about to tie the knot — Vegas style.

The Louisiana Democrat will take the plunge on Saturday in Las Vegas, ITK has learned.

We were the first to report last year that Richmond, 41, was engaged. At the time, the wedding-bell news came as a surprise even to Richmond’s staff; the congressman’s press secretary told us he was unaware of the upcoming nuptials.

{mosads}Multiple online wedding registries, including at Williams-Sonoma and Macy’s, list Richmond’s bride-to-be as Raquel Greenup.

A Babies R Us registry listed under both of the couple’s names said Richmond and Greenup were expecting a baby last July.

Richmond’s tight-lipped spokesman didn’t get back to us about any of his boss’s Saturday wedding plans.
