‘House of Cards’ to begin casting season four extras
They shouldn’t be too hard to find around Washington, but “House of Cards” is reportedly on the hunt for a few good “government official types.”
{mosads}The Netflix political thriller is looking to hire extras for the upcoming fourth season of the series, according to a casting call obtained by The Baltimore Sun’s David Zurawik.
“Think black tie affair, government official types, ‘Men in Black,’ ” a flier advises potential actors and actresses for the May 15 casting call in Bel Air, Md.
There was some question whether the popular show would continue to film around Baltimore following a battle last year over tax incentives from the state. The production company behind “House of Cards” had threatened to “break down our stage, sets and office and set up in another state” if “sufficient incentives” did not become available.
The casting call announcement advises “House of Cards” hopefuls to come “camera ready” in their “best upscale attire.” Men are asked to “use hair product,” while the ladies should “have your hairstyle and makeup applied as we will be taking your photos for you.”
