Malia Obama interning for Lena Dunham: report

Malia Obama has reportedly scored a gig many teens would gladly give up selfies to land: Summer intern for Lena Dunham.

The first teen, who turned 17 on Independence Day, was spotted last week on the set of the popular HBO dramedy “Girls,” which is currently shooting its next season in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg.

“She’s a fan, and she mentioned that to Lena [Dunham] when she came to the White House,” a source with knowledge told Us Weekly. “I’m not sure how long she’ll be interning for. It’s a bit of a trial thing for her. They’ve known each other and discussed for a while. Lena and her get along great.”

{mosads}TMZ is reporting that Malia has been seen running around Williamsburg in her capacity as the “Girls” gofer — grabbing coffee for the crew and keeping prying public eyes away from the set.

Us reminds its readers that this isn’t Malia’s first showbiz rodeo: She spent last summer working as a production assistant for the CBS sci-fi thriller “Extant” starring Halle Berry.
