’24’ president is new voice of ‘Meet the Press’
A past president will soon be lending his voice to “Meet the Press.”
Dennis Haysbert, who played the fictional President David Palmer on Fox’s “24,” will deliver the iconic opening line on the Sunday morning public affairs program.
{mosads}Haysbert — who’s also recognizable as the Allstate Insurance pitchman — will tell viewers, “Welcome to Sunday. It’s ‘Meet the Press,’” starting this weekend.
ITK hears the addition of the 61-year-old actor’s voice is part of several updates moderator Chuck Todd has made to the show. Todd celebrates his one-year anniversary as moderator this week.
