DC gets a little bit of fun.

WE HEAR: Washington’s about to get a little more “fun.” when the lead singer of the band fun. heads to the nation’s capital to meet with lawmakers and appear at an annual holiday benefit concert.

Nate Ruess will headline the Recording Industry Association of America and Musicians on Call’s invite-only charity benefit on Dec. 8 at the 9:30 Club in Washington.

Before rocking the concert hall, ITK hears, the “Some Nights” singer will join Musicians on Call at its Rock the Room Tour VIP reception honoring volunteers in the District along with Reps. Jeff Miller (R-Fla.) and Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii). The tour is aimed at raising awareness about the impact of music on healing.
