‘Fight Song’ played at Trump inaugural ball

Performers at an inaugural ball Friday honoring President Trump performed “Fight Song,” a tune that became a theme song of sorts for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Introducing their version of the song to the crowd at one of the three official inaugural balls in Washington, D.C., on Friday, The Piano Guys called the tune their “tribute to superheroes.”

“These are ordinary people in all of our lives that use superhero, ordinary strength to overcome extra challenges,” said Steven Sharp Nelson, the group’s cellist.

{mosads}“I’m thinking of my father, he’s my superhero,” Nelson said, explaining his father raised him and his siblings while his mother suffered from a brain tumor.

The classical pop music group then proceeded to play a mash-up version of “Fight Song” combined with “Amazing Grace” at the black-tie affair.

Rachel Platten’s 2015 “Fight Song” was constantly blasted at Clinton’s campaign events during last year’s White House race, eventually becoming synonymous with the Democratic candidate.

A cover version of the song featuring celebrities such as Elizabeth Banks and Eva Longoria belting out the words in a music video was even played during the Democratic National Convention last July.

Platten took to social media on Friday night to say that the song was played without her permission or approval:
