Quigley helps Capitol worker pop the question

The congressman’s office managed to get special access to the rotunda, and we hear Barger was completely unsuspecting when her boyfriend got down on one knee last Thursday in the middle of the space.

Unlike the shutdown saga, this Capitol Hill story happens to have a happy ending: she said yes.

Quigley told ITK in an email about the proposal, “Who says there isn’t any love on Capitol Hill these days? Congratulations to Marcus and Emily and best wishes for a long and happy future together!”
