Trump tried to improv on SNL: former cast member

President Trump tried to improvise during his 2015 guest host appearance on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” according to one of the show’s former featured players.

Jon Rudnitsky, who was a featured player during the show’s 41^st season, told People that Trump would tell those on set he was “going to riff” when he guest hosted in 2015.

{mosads}“On set, he would be like, ‘I’m going to riff — I’m just going to riff here,’ ”Rudnitsky told the magazine.

“By the way, nobody riffs on SNL. Not Will Ferrell, not anybody in the history of SNL has ever riffed,” Rudnitsky said. There are cue cards there for a reason, it’s live. And he went off on the show, and you can kind of tell when he’s trying to do a thing. You’re like, ‘Eh, you’re not a comedian.’”

Trump guest hosted the sketch comedy show when he was a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.
