Rihanna to Trump: ‘Don’t let your people die’
Rihanna is ripping President Trump’s response to hurricane-damaged Puerto Rico, tweeting a photo of a New York Daily News cover calling the situation an “American Tragedy.”
Dear @realDonaldTrump I know you’ve probably already seen this, but I just wanted to make sure!

Rihanna joins a growing list of celebrities who have criticized the president’s relief efforts, among them Lin-Manuel Miranda and Pitbull.
{mosads}The White House has defended its response, saying that the president’s support for Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria is the same as it was for Texas and Florida following Harvey and Irma.
The president has upped the Pentagon’s resources and personnel being sent to the island, and Thursday waived a set of shipping restrictions that have been hampering relief efforts.
Acting Homeland Security Secretary Elaine Duke said Thursday that she is “satisfied” with the level of aid and that it was a “good news situation.”
The mayor of San Juan fired back at Duke Friday morning, saying it’s a “people-are-dying situation.”
Several hours after urging Trump not to “let his people die,” Rihanna tweeted again, applauding all five living former presidents, who recently added Hurricane Maria to their charity efforts.
Round of APPLAUSE to these gentlemen for taking control of this devastating situation!!! #CaribbeanGirl #OneLove https://t.co/vTeuPwOvEV
