Obama interrupts Michelle’s appearance with 25th anniversary tribute

Former President Barack Obama interrupted Michelle Obama’s appearance at a conference on Tuesday with a 25th wedding anniversary tribute.

Michelle Obama was in the middle of a question-and-answer session at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women when a video featuring Barack Obama played, surprising the former first lady.

“Hey honey,” the president began. “Listen, I know you are with all these important Pennsylvania women … but I had to crash this party because today we have been married for 25 years.”

In the two-minute video, Barack Obama gushed about his wife, calling her a “saintly, wonderful, patient person.”

The interruption was met with applause, laughter and “awwwws”  from the audience as Michelle Obama blushed onstage.

The Obamas celebrated their 25th anniversary on Tuesday. Michelle Obama posted an anniversary message on her Instagram page that has been liked 2.2 million times. More than 40,000 people also posted comments on it.
