Obama and Tillerson join DC-area golf club
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and former President Obama have both joined an exclusive country club outside Washington, the Washingtonian reported Wednesday.
Obama accepted an invitation in May to join the Army Navy Country Club, which charges an initiation fee of nearly $75,000, a member told the news outlet. The member said that Obama held an honorary membership at the Arlington, Va., club before joining, as do all sitting presidents.

Obama also accepted a bid for honorary membership the Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Md., this month, one of the oldest in the country. The former president reportedly had golfed there before joining.
He also joined the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia in May.
The 44th president appeared alongside fellow former presidents and noted golfers George W. Bush and Bill Clinton at the 2017 Presidents Cup golf tournament in September, where they united to watch the tournament’s opening shots.
