Colbert: Trump’s Fox interview was a ‘full-blown rubdown’
Stephen Colbert blasted President Trump’s Wednesday night interview with Fox Business Network’s Lou Dobbs, the president’s 14th sit-down with Fox since January.
On “The Late Show” Thursday night, Colbert described the interview as a “full-blown rubdown” from Dobbs full of softball questions and a complimentary tone.
“Dobbs was pleasuring Trump so vigorously that Mike Pence asked ‘mother’ to change the channel,” Colbert joked.

Colbert shared a video compilation of the praise Dobbs gave Trump during the interview.
Among several compliments about his accomplishments, Dobbs told Trump that “the country owes you a great debt on so much,” to which Trump responded, “That’s very interesting, it’s well put, it’s true.”
Trump’s interview with Dobbs was his 14th with Fox or Fox Business Network since taking office after not taking interviews with other networks for months. He has not appeared on CNN, MSNBC or CNBC during his entire time in office.
