WATCH: Country music stars mock Trump’s use of Twitter

Country music stars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood on Wednesday mocked President Trump’s use of Twitter in their opening monologue at the County Music Association Awards.

The award show hosts riffed on some of Trump’s more notable Twitter insults, including calling Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) “Pocahontas,” labeling North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “Rocket Man,” and tweeting out accidental gibberish in the typo “covfefe.”

“And it’s fun to watch, yeah that’s for sure, until Rocket Man starts a nuclear war. Maybe next time he’ll think before he tweets,” the pair sang to the tune of Underwood’s hit song “Before He Cheats.”

Prior to launching into the parody, Paisley told Underwood about a list of other possible songs, including “Hold Me Closer, Bernie Sanders,” and “Stand by Your Manafort,” referring to former Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who was recently indicted.
