The distributor for Louis C.K.’s new film said it will not release the film after Thursday’s New York Times report that the comedian engaged in sexual misconduct with several women.
The film, “I Love You, Daddy,” was set to be released on Nov. 17. New York Times culture reporter Cara Buckley on Friday tweeted a screenshot of an email from The Orchard, Louis C.K.’s film distributor, stating that the company would not move forward with the release.
The premiere of the film was abruptly canceled ahead of the Times report, in which five women gave accounts of Louis C.K. engaging in sexually explicit behavior, including masturbating in front of them.

“I Love You, Daddy” stars Louis C.K. as a television producer whose teenage daughter enters a relationship with a 68-year-old filmmaker. The film had been under scrutiny for its content and its nods to filmmaker Woody Allen, who has also been the focus of sexual allegations.
Louis C.K. joins a list of Hollywood men who have been accused of sexual harassment or assault, including Kevin Spacey, who is being replaced by Christopher Plummer in an upcoming film following reports of his conduct.
