Trump wedding cake up for auction

A souvenir piece of wedding cake from President Trump and first lady Melania Trump’s wedding is up for auction.

Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles is expecting the piece to sell for between $1,000 and $2,000, according to the auction house’s website.

The item up for auction is a slice of chocolate truffle cake that was a take-home souvenir from the wedding in Palm Beach, Fla., in 2005.

According to the auction item description, the actual wedding cake, which reportedly cost $50,000, was a seven-tier cake that contained too much wire for guests to consume.

The cake is not the first piece of Trump memorabilia to attract attention from bidders. Last month, a sketch of the Empire State Building that the president drew recently sold at an auction for $16,000.
