‘The View’ hosts: Conway ‘should be ashamed of herself’ for defending Roy Moore

The women of “The View” torched White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Tuesday for defending GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore against multiple sexual misconduct allegations.

Earlier this week, Conway appeared on “Fox & Friends,” suggesting that Alabama voters should vote for Moore because he would support the GOP tax-reform effort.

“I’m telling you that we want the votes in the Senate to get this tax bill through,” Conway said.

Moore has been accused of sexual misconduct, harassment and assault by nine women, most of whom said he pursued them when they were teenagers and he was in his 30s.

Joy Behar slammed Conway’s on Tuesday saying, “she should be ashamed of herself” as a mother of young girls.

“You’re basically saying, ‘I don’t care what he did to you, I want to get this tax bill passed,’” Whoopi Goldberg agreed. “And if that is in fact how you feel, ‘Bye!’ Because I think women are not taking this anymore!”

{mosads}Guest panelist and CNN analyst Ana Navarro said that defending the Republican agenda over alleged sexual harassment victims is “right out of Donald Trump’s campaign playbook.”

“We’ve got a hoo-ha-grabber in chief in the Oval Office,” Navarro said, referring to the “Access Hollywood” tape where Trump bragged about groping women without their consent.

Sunny Hostin, another “View” panelist, said that Conway looks like she “sold her soul” in order to achieve tax reform

“When she’s answering these questions, she does look like she threw up in her mouth a little bit,” Hostin said. “So she has sold her soul. She has sold her soul for this.”

Goldberg agreed and posed a final question to viewers:

“If your daughter came and said to you, ‘Dad, this is what happened to me, this is what this man did to me.’ Or, ‘Mom, this is what happened to me and this is what this man did to me.’ Is that how you would treat them?” Goldberg asked. “Say, ‘I don’t care, we need the tax money?’ Is that what you would say to your children? Because that’s the question that you have to look at yourself in the mirror and ask.”
