Rep. Kennedy welcomes second child
Rep. Joseph Kennedy (D-Mass.) on Wednesday welcomed his second child, the congressman shared on Twitter.
James Matthew Kennedy was born Wednesday morning, the congressman said.
“First gift he received was (appropriately) a Patriots jersey from Grandpa Joe,” Kennedy tweeted.
Meet James Matthew Kennedy. Born early this morning and doing great. First gift he received was (appropriately) a Patriots jersey from Grandpa Joe. Thanks to all for the kind words. We are exhausted, over the moon and deeply grateful! pic.twitter.com/F7D1ZVlDK7

Kennedy and his wife, Lauren, had a baby girl in December 2015.
Kennedy is the son of former Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy and the grandson of Sen. Bobby Kennedy.
His fellow Massachusettes Rep. Seth Moulton (D) congratulated Kennedy’s family on Twitter.
“Congrats to my friend Joe and his wife Lauren from me & Liz! Also to Ellie, who has the very important task of being an older sister. Glad to see your family doing well, and excited to welcome another Patriots fan to the mix!” he wrote.
