Mitt, Ann Romney dress as Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift for Halloween

Sen. Mitt Romney and his wife are hopping aboard the “Tayvis” bandwagon for Halloween, dressing up as much buzzed-about celebrity couple Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

The Utah Republican shared his Halloween look on Tuesday, striking a smiling pose while sporting the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s jersey and holding a football.

Romney’s wife, Ann, modeled some long, blonde Swift-inspired locks, sunglasses and a cheerleading outfit similar to the one the singer wore in her 2014 music video for “Shake it Off.”

“It’s a love story, baby, just say yes!” Romney said in his social media post, quoting Swift’s 2008 song “Love Story.”

Kelce — who’s expected to be one half of a popular Halloween couples’ costume idea this year — weighed in on what trick-or-treaters might need in order to emulate him and Swift for the spooky holiday.

“My [mustache,]” the football player told reporters at a news conference, “and maybe a bracelet or something.”

Romney, who announced last month that he would retire from the Senate at the end of his term, regularly gets into the Halloween spirit. In 2021, he made headlines when he dressed as the cheery title character from “Ted Lasso,” with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) playing along as fictional AFC Wimbledon owner Rebecca Welton.

The 76-year-old lawmaker dressed as himself in 2012, wearing a Romney mask in a family Halloween snapshot.

In 2019, Romney’s grandson dressed up as Pierre Delecto, an apparent Oct. 31 ode to the 2012 GOP presidential nominee’s online alter ego.
