Taylor Swift has an Election Day message as Americans across the country head to the polls: “Voters gonna vote!”
The “Cruel Summer” singer urged her fans to make time for the ballot box Tuesday in an Instagram Stories post for her 275 million followers.
“It’s Election Day! If you are registered to vote in Colorado, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas or Virginia, it’s time to use your voice,” Swift wrote, including a link to Vote.org.
Making a voting appeal has become a tradition of sorts for the 33-year-old superstar. In September, Vote.org said more than 35,000 people registered to vote after Swift encouraged her fanbase to do so to mark National Voter Registration Day.

Last year, Swift utilized her social media platform to make an early voting appeal, writing that there were “only 20 midnights until the 2022 United States Midterm Elections.”

In a statement Tuesday, Vote.org CEO Andrea Hailey said that Swift is “one of the busiest people in the world, but she always has time to stand up for democracy, use her own voice and encourage her fans and followers to use theirs.”
Hailey praised the entertainer for her “continued partnership with the platform,” saying, “Today’s elections are highly consequential, both for voters and for the future of our country, with consequential statewide elections, ballot measures, mayoral races and control of state legislatures on the line. We’re thrilled that Taylor consistently uses her massive platform to encourage voting as an ongoing practice, not just something that people should do once every four years.”
