Celine Dion hits Trump for using her music at Montana rally

Singer Celine Dion’s team criticized former President Trump for using her song at his rally Friday in Montana.

In a post on Instagram, Dion said her management team and record label Sony Music Entertainment Canada became aware that Trump used her song “My Heart Will Go On,” at his event in Bozeman, Mont.

“In no way is this use authorized and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use … and really, THAT song?” the post online said.

At his rally, Trump went on the attack against Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), just days after he was announced to be joining Vice President Harris on the ticket.

“Tim Walz is the man who’s very freakish, he’s very freakish,” Trump said.

The response comes after Walz said Trump and his running mate Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) are “weird,” and the messaging caught on among top Democrats.

Earlier Saturday, the former president’s plane was diverted due to a mechanical issue. He safely landed and took the stage hours later.

Marc Broklawski, a vice chair of rules for the Virginia Democratic Party, said in a post online that Trump’s use of the song, created for the 1997 film “Titanic,” was “perfect” because “when your campaign’s headed for an iceberg, you might as well set it to music.”
