Earvin “Magic” Johnson is hitting the campaign trail for Joe Biden, heading to two stops in a swing state to support the Democratic presidential nominee’s White House bid.

The former Los Angeles Lakers star player, who played for Michigan State before entering the NBA, will travel to Detroit and Lansing for a pair of weekend events, Biden’s campaign announced Friday.

On Saturday, Johnson will participate in what the campaign’s dubbing a ” ‘Shop Talk’ roundtable conversation about voting with Black men.” He’ll also participate in a voter mobilization event in Lansing that day to promote early voting in the state.

The 61-year-old entrepreneur has been vocal with his get-out-the-vote message on Twitter, frequently urging his 5 million followers to register to vote and cast their ballots.

Johnson — who’s been critical of President Trump and once compared him to a “dictator” — supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 White House race.
