Billie Eilish blasts Texas abortion law: ‘Old men’ should ‘shut the f— up about our bodies’
Billie Eilish is slamming Texas’s controversial abortion law, saying she’s “sick and tired of old men” who should “shut the f— up about our bodies.”
The 19-year-old “Happier Than Ever” singer took to the stage at Austin City Limits on Saturday, telling the crowd that she nearly bowed out of her performance in protest of the Texas law.
The legislation in the Lone Star State, which took effect last month, bans virtually all abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, about six weeks into a pregnancy.
“When they made that shit a law, I almost didn’t want to do the show, because I wanted to punish this f—— place for allowing that to happen here,” Eilish said in videos from the concert posted on social media.
“But then, I remembered you guys are the f—— victims and you deserve everything in the whole world,” Eilish said to cheers from the audience as the words “Bans Off Our Bodies” flashed on screens onstage.

“We need to tell them to shut the f— up,” she continued, before exclaiming, “My body, my f—— life!”
Eilish, a politically outspoken performer who supported President Biden in the 2020 White House race, also reportedly railed against climate change deniers during her Texas performance.
“If you don’t think global warming exists, you’re a f—— loser,” she said, according to the Austin American-Statesman.
