Former congressman marries his ex-wife

A former lawmaker has found love and taken the plunge once again…with his ex-wife.

Ex-Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-N.Y.), who retired earlier this year, reportedly remarried the same woman he had tied the knot with nearly three decades ago, Ilene Marder.

The tango dance instructor posted a photo with Hinchey, 75, on her Facebook page Sunday, writing, “Twenty eight years after our first time around…! We had a very small family gathering for the ceremony…wish we could have invited all friends and family, but we know your love was with us…..xo”

A Democratic source confirmed the weekend wedding news to New York’s Times Herald-Record.

It’s the fourth marriage for Hinchey, who served 10 terms.
