Bristol Palin announces birth of second child

Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, on Thursday announced the birth of her second child, Sailor Grace.

“My sweet Sailor Grace was born yesterday, our family couldn’t be more complete,” Palin wrote on Instagram.

“My heart just doubled,” she wrote in a second post, which appeared to show her first child, 6-year-old Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, doting on Sailor Grace.

{mosads}Palin drew controversy when she gave birth to Tripp in 2008 out of wedlock, seemingly in contrast to her mother’s pro-family message.

Palin was engaged to be married to Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer earlier this year, but the wedding was cancelled two months after it was publicly announced.

When announcing her pregnancy in June, she called it “a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends and to many of you.”
