Green Day drops new anti-Trump music video

Rock band Green Day dropped a new music video on Martin Luther King Jr. day that references the civil rights leader and also blasts Donald Trump, though not by name.

The music video for Green Day’s song “Troubled Times,” from the band’s new Revolution Radio album includes an animation of a man with a yellow hair and a red “Make America Great Again” hat speaking behind a podium.

“A new day dawning. Comes without warning. So don’t think twice. We live in troubled times,” sings Billie Joe Armstrong when the Trump look alike figure is shown.

Green Day famously protested George W. Bush with its American Idiot album.

The video juxtaposes images of Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement with contemporary protesters holding signs that read: “Make America Hate Again” and “No Border Wall”
