Online firm puts together sample resumé for Obama

He’s out of a job, but former President Obama is getting some free help when it comes to finding a new gig.

An online company called Enhancv has created a resumé for the ex-commander in chief to show to prospective employers.

While the document crafted by online resumé builder lists Obama’s obvious political experience, including president of the United States of America, Illinois senator, and as a state senator, it also has a series of accomplishments he’s “most proud of.”

“Raising my daughters,” being “awarded the Nobel Peace Prize,” “elected as the first African-American president,” and “led the raid that took out Osama bin Laden,” all make the cut.

{mosads}The team at Enhancv — which is using Obama’s resumé to offer job-seeking tips and promote their services — recommend using sections such as “My Time, Books and Passions” to “showcase your personality.”

Listed under “Things I Believe In,” the Obama’s includes: “Hope over fear, demand more of ourselves, basketball, and Michelle’s shrimp linguini.”

“One thing that distinguishes Obama from all recent presidents is that he’s not afraid to be genuine and sincere,” Vassilena Valchanova, a marketing specialist, writes of the former president. “His authentic approach won the hearts of many Americans. That’s why I’d imagine he’d use the same tactics to win recruiters.”

Valchanova adds, however, that “we don’t recommend non-presidential job seekers to include food preferences.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden and the Nobel Prize Committee are listed as Obama’s references.

The company also suggests job hunters shouldn’t be scared to admit failures on their resumés. On Obama’s it says, “Almost closed Guantanamo Bay. That one didn’t go as planned.”

The site says, “It’s a great moment to focus on what you’ve learned from those and prove that oh-so-sought-after growth mindset.”

But the resumé also features the 55-year-old former commander in chiefs strengths, including: “Public speaking, social media, golfing, and mic dropping.”

Enhancy isn’t the first company to show an interest in Obama’s post-presidential employment. The adult game Cards Against Humanity made it pretty clear whom they were trying to hire when they set up a job posting seeking a new CEO.
