Roger Daltrey: ‘Dead dog’ would have beaten Clinton
The Who’s Roger Daltrey says Democrats threw away the presidential election by having Hillary Clinton on the ticket, saying “a dead dog would have won” against her.
“On other pieces of politics, let’s put it this way: when you say that middle America and the Democrats lost it, but Trump didn’t really win it — because Democrats threw it away by putting [Hilary Clinton] up,” the rock band’s frontman told NME in an interview published Wednesday.
{mosads}“A dead dog would have won it against [her], look at that,” he said.
But Daltrey didn’t exactly reserve praise for Clinton’s White House opponent, Donald Trump.
“His f–king haircut!” Daltrey said, when asked his opinion on President Trump, according to NME. “He needs it cut and as my mother would say, ‘Wash your f–king mouth out.’”
Daltrey is a frequent visitor on Capitol Hill. He performed at the Capitol in 2013 at a ceremony for Winston Churchill’s bust dedication. He also touched down in Washington last year to meet with lawmakers about the charity he co-founded, Teen Cancer America.
