Holiday season begins with clues to annual party’s celebrity guest
Peppermint mocha lattes are back, Ugg boot sighting are increasing and paper cuts from gift wrapping are popping up — which can only mean one thing: It’s time to guess the surprise celebrity guest at Ron Bonjean’s holiday party!
Dedicated ITK readers are keenly aware of our annual guessing game to name the entertainer who will bestow a touch of star power on the invite-only festivities held at the Washington-area home of GOP strategist Bonjean and his wife, Sara.
As in years past, we’ll be releasing a series of three clues from Bonjean about who the very special guest might be leading up to the “’Twas the 16th Night Before Christmas Party” on Dec. 9.
Past guests at the Christmas-time bonanza include rapper and reality TV vet Flavor Flav, “Cheers” star George Wendt, “Saved by the Bell’s” principal Dennis Haskins, actor Gary Busey, “CHiPs” actor Erik Estrada and “The Karate Kid’s” Ralph Macchio.

The first clue comes in the form of scenes from the opening sequence of the 1970’s TV show, “The New Adventures of Wonder Woman.”
In the short YouTube clip that doubles as the first clue, the show’s star, Lynda Carter, is seen spinning as she transforms into the DC Comics heroine. Other moments show Wonder Woman standing up to Nazis, hanging from a helicopter, rolling down a hill as she evades a tank firing at her and using her Bracelets of Submission to battle some bad guys.
Could Carter (who happens to live near Washington) be getting ready to bring some yuletide cheer to the Bonjean bash? Might former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, who Carter told ITK she endorsed in the 2016 election, take a break from explaining “What Happened” to get the eggnog flowing? Is Gal Gadot, the star of the 2017 “Wonder Woman” reboot, putting down her Lasso of Truth for a hot second to celebrate the season at the big event?
Send your best Bonjean celeb guest guesses to ITK@digital-staging.thehill.com and be on the lookout for the next clue!
