Cardi B says voters let Bernie Sanders down
Cardi B is voicing support for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the 2020 White House race, saying voters “let him down” during the last election.
The “I Like It” rapper tweeted to her more than 6 million followers on Tuesday:
I been reading about Bernie Sanders and I’m really sad how we let him down in 2016 This man been fighting for equal rights,HUMAN rights for such along time.Seeing this country become a better place been really his passion for a long time not a new front for a campaign.

It’s not the first time that Cardi B — a vocal critic of President Trump — has rooted on Sanders’s presidential campaign.
{mosads}In a video she filmed during the 2016 race, the then-VH1 “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star told her fans, “Vote for Daddy Bernie, bitch!”
“You all love f–king foreign bitches, them hoes gonna get deported if Trump is president,” Cardi B said.
Last year, Sanders tweeted, “Cardi B is right,” after the Grammy Award-winner gave an interview praising former President Franklin Roosevelt.
And in an April interview with Variety, the 26-year-old performer — born Belcalis Almánzar — said, “Imma always go with Bernie,” when asked about 2020.
“Bernie don’t say things to be cool. Like, there’s pictures of him being an activist from a very, very, very long time [ago.]”
Sanders’s campaign didn’t immediately return ITK’s request for comment about the support from the outspoken rapper.
