Trump compares Debra Messing to Roseanne Barr, says she should be fired
President Trump is suggesting NBC should fire Debra Messing after the “Will & Grace” actress said the names of the commander in chief’s donors who attended a fundraiser should be publicly identified.
{mosads}Trump tweeted that if Messing were Roseanne Barr, she would have already been fired despite having higher ratings for her program. Barr was fired by ABC last year for a racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, the former Obama White House aide.
Bad “actress” Debra The Mess Messing is in hot water. She wants to create a “Blacklist” of Trump supporters, & is being accused of McCarthyism. Is also being accused of being a Racist because of the terrible things she said about blacks and mental illness. If Roseanne Barr….

….said what she did, even being on a much higher rated show, she would have been thrown off television. Will Fake News NBC allow a McCarthy style Racist to continue? ABC fired Roseanne. Watch the double standard!

Messing had encouraged The Hollywood Reporter in a tweet last week to publish the names of attendees at an upcoming fundraiser for Trump in Beverly Hills after the news outlet first reported on the event in late August.
Please print a list of all attendees please. The public has a right to know. https://t.co/YV4UoxrPHI

The 51-year-old actress — a frequent critic of Trump who appeared onstage at the 2016 Democratic National Convention — faced intense blowback from the tweet, with critics saying her suggestion could lead to a Hollywood “blacklist.”
Messing posted a message Wednesday from her “Will & Grace” co-star Eric McCormack, who had also urged The Hollywood Reporter to reveal the identities of the Trump donors “so the rest of us can be clear about who we don’t wanna work with.”
McCormack said his remark was “misinterpreted,” writing, “I absolutely do not support blacklists or discrimination of any kind, as anyone who knows me would attest.”
Trump’s Thursday tweet was the second time in a matter of days that the president targeted Messing on Twitter.
I have not forgotten that when it was announced that I was going to do The Apprentice, and when it then became a big hit, helping NBC’s failed lineup greatly, @DebraMessing came up to me at an Upfront & profusely thanked me, even calling me “Sir.” How times have changed!

Although Trump had questioned if NBC would fire Messing, the network had already announced in July that the reboot of “Will & Grace” would end after its upcoming season, airing next year.
Messing wrote on Instagram at the time that the team behind the sitcom had “decided it was the right time” to finish the series.
