Medical examiner: No signs of drug use or foul play in Bob Saget’s death

A medical examiner announced on Monday that foul play or drugs were not involved in the death of 65-year-old Bob Saget. 

The District Nine Medical Examiner’s Office in Orlando, Fla., said an autopsy was performed on Monday morning after Saget’s death in a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton on Sunday night, according to NBC News.

The initial report found “no evidence of drug use or foul play,” though the final results of the autopsy could take up to three months.

“The cause and manner of death are pending further studies and investigation which may take up to 10-12 weeks to complete,” Joshua Stephany, who is the chief medical examiner for Orange and Osceola Counties, said, according to the outlet. 

The Hill has reached out to the medical examiner’s office for comment. 

The actor and comedian was best known for his role as Danny Tanner in “Full House,” a character he played from 1987 to 1995 and reprised on “Fuller House” beginning in 2016, NBC added.   

At the time of his death, Saget was on a comedy tour called “I Don’t Do Negative” which was set to run through June.  

He is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and three children.
