Actor and former professional wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson says he’s flattered by Americans urging him to run for president, though it doesn’t sound like he’s made up his mind about a bid.
“It’s really been the most flattering thing,” Johnson, who stars in a big-screen adaptation of “Baywatch” this summer, said in an interview with ABC News.
“I don’t know if I would make a good president, but I know I have a certain skill set and I think it’s in that skill set that people see, that people would want me to run.”

Johnson speculated that Americans are dissatisfied with their leaders in Washington.
“And I also think that’s reflective of them wanting to see a better leadership happening right now,” he said.
Johnson has offered his take on some current political issues in recent weeks, including President Trump’s ban on immigrants from Muslim majority countries that he called “a snap judgment.”
Johnson has said that there’s a “real possibility” that he will make a White House run and reiterated that he’d like to see “better leadership” from the commander in chief.
“When there’s a disagreement, and you have a large group of people that you’re in a disagreement with — for example, the media — I feel like it informs me that I could be better. We all have issues, and we all gotta work our shit out. And I feel like one of the qualities of a great leader is not shutting people out. I miss that part,” he told GQ earlier in May.
