There is a list of Texas Democrats who can win statewide in 2014. There is a distemper on the right nationally and in Texas, and there is an intolerance that is unacceptable nationally and in Texas. A strong Texas nominee for governor or senator would have a good chance of winning in 2014, and Hillary Clinton would have an outstanding chance to carry Texas in 2016.

The moment is ripe for Texas Democrats to seize the high ground of the center and defeat the extremism and intolerance that is all too common among Republicans.
