Mitt Romney, Donald Trump, Ron Paul and the ‘Hope America Fails’ Republicans have a problem: Jobs

What do Mitt Romney, Donald Trump and Ron Paul have in common? They all
steadfastly support policies and practices that promote layoffs and
firing people. Mitt Romney has said he enjoys firing people and doesn’t
care about the poorest who lack jobs. Donald Trump, who supports Romney,
hosts a TV show about firing people. Ron Paul, who supports Romney
on his layoffs at Bain Capital, opposes jobs programs and advocates
an extreme laissez-faire that gives a green light to
financial corruption by opposing any government role to prevent the
crimes, punish the guilty and protect the citizenry.

Mitt Romney, Donald Trump and Ron Paul offer the triple play of economics that reward the 1 percent and punish the 99 percent. The strong jobs report today is bad news for the “Hope America Fails” Republicans, and bad news for the ancient Republican economic theories championed by Romney, Trump and Paul that have given America recessions and depressions from Herbert Hoover to George W. Bush.

{mosads}In different ways but with common threads Mitt Romney, Donald Trump and Ron Paul advocate policies that create a gold mine for those who game the system, create a blockade against the creation of new jobs and create rewards for those who commit financial crimes by attacking the ability of the government to prevent and punish these crimes and protect the citizenry against them.

What do Mitt Romney, Donald Trump and Ron Paul think of the strong jobs report today? They are all charter members of the “Hope America Fails” wing of the GOP, who more than any great party in the history of the nation has gambled its future on the prospect of America failing. They risk losing a landslide to a Democratic president if America succeeds.

There are reasons that the policies championed by Romney, Trump and Paul have created depressions and recessions from Herbert Hoover to George W. Bush.

There are reasons that a simple chart of job creation shows major job losses that were devastating during the presidency of George W. Bush, and newfound job gains during the presidency of Barack Obama.

Morning in America would mean a landslide for Obama and an epic disaster for the Republican Party of Mitt Romney, Donald Trump and Ron Paul. They favor policies that would help the few and turn back the clock to darker days. Today’s good jobs report is bad news for them indeed.

The next Morning in America is the dream of Democrats and the nightmare of Republicans. I cannot wait for the debate between Barack Obama and his Republican opponent, this coming fall, about this.
