Obama’s blind side on healthcare
Obama and his leftist Democrats will never seriously consider Republican ideas on healthcare reform. The left is still willing to sacrifice individual freedom to choose doctors, opting instead to impose a state-run monopoly on medical care at the expense of a market-driven health system.
They unabashedly didn’t care that they were redistributing income from the more productive to the less; from the young to the old; from the healthy to the less healthy. In contrast, most Americans have clearly shown that they agree with conservatives who continue to look toward market solutions to resolve many of the existing healthcare issues, ones that operate within a framework of the invisible hand of rational behaviors and the proper incentives. If cost is a factor in healthcare, as liberals would argue, then why not ensure the solution has a price-based fixture?
Our president, unfortunately, is still refusing to hear the demands of his countrymen, that it’s time to focus on jobs and policies that can return the economy to prosperity for all. Maybe former Vice President Dick Cheney was spot on yesterday when he declared that Obama is a one-term president. By golly, he’s sure working overtime and hard to prove Cheney right.
