Republicans should reimburse taxpayers for the cost of one-party House Benghazi ‘report’

Everyone knows what happened at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Everyone has known for many months what happened at Benghazi.

{mosads}Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton bears, and has publicly accepted her fair share of responsibility. She has testified at length about this. She has been open and honest about this. She implemented every reform suggested by Republicans and Democrats in Congress. Her position has far more integrity than the position of those Republicans who fought to cut embassy security, which gives them a fair share of responsibility that (unlike Clinton) they refuse to accept.

I understand the GOP is desperately facing the prospect of Hillary Clinton running and winning a landslide in the 2016 presidential election. After countless months of GOP propaganda about Benghazi, Clinton remains the most popular national political figure in America by far.

Obviously the GOP attempts to exploit Benghazi are a political loser, but losing tactics have not deterred Republicans before. House Republicans should reimburse taxpayers for their latest misuse of taxpayer money.

They have every right to publish one-sided propaganda, but this should be paid for by the Republican National Committee or the National Republican Congressional Committee, not hard-working American taxpayers.
