The investigation coincides with a probe into alleged
financial improprieties by Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.), including cheating on
his taxes.
Where, one wonders, is Ms. Pelosi’s righteous rhetoric when
her cronies are the ones committing fraud?
Not surprisingly, Pelosi has refused calls to censure or
even boot Rangel from his powerful post as the Ways and Means Committee chairman.
So much for her tough talk about fighting the culture of sleaze. Chalk one up
for the swamp.
