Trash book: The cheap-shotting of Elizabeth Edwards
Because of books like this, prominent political leaders will
stop confiding in many journalists, and will stop confiding in many staff people,
some of whom only read the index of books to see how they are treated, others
of whom dish petty dirt without the guts to let their names be used.
Regarding Elizabeth Edwards, the woman was diagnosed with very
serious cancer in 2004 and has been fighting for her life. She learns that her husband
has been cheating on her, at her greatest moment of personal danger while she is
fighting for her life, with a low-grade gold-digger.
I kinda think it would be nice for the armies of strategists,
staff and book-writers to show a little class, and show a little dignity, and show
a little honor, and cut Elizabeth Edwards a little slack under the circumstances.
I realize that is asking too much, with so many former staff
with such little of substance to say, with so many hours of cable “news”
and talk radio to be filled, and so many books to be sold, by those who have nothing
better to contribute.
