Republicans want a return to George W. Bush
The way to know a phony Tea Party person versus a sincere Tea Party
person is to watch which of them will attack Republicans for pushing
hard to return to the policies of George W. Bush.
Republicans in Congress want more Bush policies. They supported Bush
policies yesterday. They support Bush policies today. The want more
Bush policies tomorrow. The same Bush policies that caused the deficit,
caused the recession and caused the bailout begun by George W. Bush.
There is virtually zero to the Republican Party today except opposing and obstructing any and all changes to the Bush regime. Republicans have no alternatives, no ideas, no policies and no vision for the future. First they opposed changes to the Bush policies. Now they want to repeal any changes, and bring the nation back to the Bush policies.
Obama and Democrats can be faulted for not fighting hard enough for real change. But the Republicans don’t want any change. They want a return to the discredited past that voters rejected in 2006 and 2008. They have nothing better to offer, nothing better to say, and nothing better to stand for. They are the party of yesterday, pushing the campaign platform of no, using the tactics of obstruction, for a politics of negativity, asking the nation to return to the good old days of Karl Rove and George W. Bush.
Democrats are weak, but Republicans can’t handle the truth. All Republicans offer is a return to Bush, and the reason Republicans can’t stand to hear this is that the truth hurts.
