Barack the Messiah
As the mainstream media finally begin to consider the unsavory ties Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has had in the past with a convicted felon (Tony Rezko), domestic terrorist (William Ayers) and racist (the Rev. Jeremiah Wright), a new figure has emerged to support the candidacy of Obama for president.
This time, the controversial leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, has weighed in to offer his words of support in regard to Obama. While originally spoken in February of this year, a link to Farrakhan’s speech just appeared on YouTube yesterday. Regardless, the words are as clear as they are frightening:
“You are the instruments that God is gonna use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn’t care anything about. That’s a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking.”
So, now Sen. Obama is equated with being the Messiah by a renowned racist and anti-Semite and yet … the silence of the media is stunning. Well, it really isn’t so stunning when you consider that the media have given Obama a free pass from the infancy of his candidacy. Can you imagine the outrage and 24/7 media coverage if Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) were described in an identical manner by a white supremacist?
On we go, with the mainstream media ignoring one unsavory association after another between the man who would be president with terrorists, anti-Semites and convicted felons. The company Obama has kept and continues to keep astounds me. That he is on the verge of becoming the next president of the United States and the media refuse to delve deeper into such associations is even more astounding.
