Harry Reid’s racial choreography

{mosads}Step one: President Obama, who justifiably took a hit when he eagerly tried to gain points by exploiting race after Trayvon Martin’s death by claiming, “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” seemed to realize he’d need to back off. And after the “not guilty” verdict, he appeared to be reasonable, saying, “[W]e are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken.”

But it soon became apparent he would have others do his dirty work for him.

Step two: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), with seemingly no role in the case in any way, shape or form, nonetheless decided it would be appropriate and useful to announce on national television that the Obama Justice Department would likely be looking into the case.

Then he ominously proclaimed, “This isn’t over,” after first covering his posterior by saying, “I am a trial lawyer and have [brought] over 100 cases to a jury. I don’t always agree with what the jury does but that’s the system and I support the system.” The sole purpose for this not being “over” is because Trayvon Martin was black. Period. Reid et al. would like to exploit racial tensions and essentially nullify the jury’s verdict while still maintaining a faux stance of responsible respect for our nation’s laws and judicial system. That’s fancy footwork, indeed.

So which is it, Sen. Reid?

When a jury finds a man not guilty and the Senate leader seems to be threatening the result with the heavy hand of an already proven corrupt Justice Department, we should all be very, very concerned. An exhaustive FBI review of the case showed no evidence of racial bias in the shooting, and that it was, in fact, the circumstances of the evening, rather than race, that prompted the ensuing tragic events.

But don’t expect Harry Reid to respect the findings of the FBI, the decision of a jury or the justice system. Instead, expect him to cynically and coldly rub salt in any wound he can find in order to score political points or gain any political advantage, no matter how much damage he causes.

Step three: Eric Holder’s corrupt Justice Department will now launch a full-fledged political “campaign” in an unprecedented abuse of power (even for Holder, and that’s saying a lot) so that Democrats can squeeze every vote out of racial hatred and resentment they possibly can in the 2014 midterm elections.
