Speculation around the AT&T National — HOSTED (?) by Tiger Woods

Is he coming to our capital city over the Fourth of July weekend?

Will he welcome fans, players, military, families, kids and media at opening ceremonies on July 2?

Will he be on crutches?

How long will he stay?

Will he tool around Congressional Country Club’s Blue course in a golf cart, acting host?

Will he be in the winners’ circle to present the Tiffany crystal United States Capitol Building trophy to the victor?

Greg McLaughlin, president of the Tiger Woods Foundation and tournament director, has not given any definitive word on Tiger’s whereabouts July 2-6.

But we do know where defending 2007 champion K.J. Choi, Jim Furyk, Davis Love III, Charles Howell III, Fred Funk, Zach Johnson, Trevor Immelman, Fred Couples, Drew Weaver, Anthony Kim, Rocco Mediate and Stuart Appleby will be. Exactly where they should be, at CCC, July 2-6, 2008.
