After mug shot, Perry goes for ice cream
Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) on Tuesday evening went for an ice cream cone after he was booked at a courthouse on two felony charges, an apparent attempt to show the frivolity of the indictment.
Shortly after his mug shot and fingerprints were taken, Perry tweeted out a picture of himself with a cone in one hand and his other arm wrapped around a woman.

Perry and his supporters have called the grand jury indictment, handed down last week, outrageous and a partisan attack.
{mosads}”I’m going to fight this injustice with every fiber of my being, and we will prevail,” he said before entering the courthouse Tuesday.
Perry is defending himself against charges that he abused his powers by attempting to coerce Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehberg to resign after her drunk driving arrest last year.
The governor had threatened to veto funding for a public integrity unit housed in her office. Lehmberg refused to step down and Perry went ahead with the veto.
