{mosads}Q: Do you write your own tweets?
A: I almost always do, although once in a while I’ll ask someone on my staff to put up a link or post a picture for me.
Q: When did you join Twitter?
A: I started tweeting … in 2008, when I was first running for Congress.
Q: What do you see as the most significant purpose of Twitter for you?
A: I like the immediate nature of Twitter — being able to share a great picture or an interesting event. But it’s also [an] increasingly useful way to get our news out to reporters.
Q: Example of a “best” Twitter moment?
A: Being able to tweet from the House floor when Gabby Giffords entered the chamber for the first time since the shooting. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place, and I was thrilled to be able to share that moment.
Q: Example of a “worst” Twitter moment?
A: When my Twitter account was hacked and someone posted, “I just made $495 today! Ask me how!!!” By the way, the Twitter folks in Washington couldn’t have been more responsive in helping me sort that out.
