White House posts 2012 in tweets
{mosads}The official Twitter account @WhiteHouse has more than 3 million followers, and there’s no turning back now. The administration views it as “an increasingly important tool for the White House to engage with citizens and provide updates from the Obama administration,” according to White House Director of Online Engagement Kori Schulman in Thursday’s post.
In a look back at 2012 through tweets posted on Storify, the White House shares top moments as seen online last year. They include January’s first-ever White House Hangout on Google Plus, Twitter townhalls with the president in May and December and Obama’s August Q-and-A on reddit, another first-ever White House event on the social network.
