Sen. Graham warns Obama to ‘tread lightly’ on gun-control measures
{mosads}Vice President Biden earlier this week hinted that President Obama could use his executive power to take action against gun violence, as part of a comprehensive strategy by the administration to tackle the issue in the wake of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school.
It is not clear what executive action Obama might take in order to sidestep Congress, although some reports indicate such measures could focus on federal funds for mental-health programs.
Biden said Thursday that he will have recommendations from a series of anti-gun violence meetings to the president by Tuesday, which could include a mix of executive actions and legislation for Congress.
