{mosads}Facebook reported that conversations about Beyonce, who sang the national anthem during President Obama’s second swearing-in, went up 42,450 percent compared to normal on Monday.
That far exceeds the Facebook chatter about inauguration or the topic “President Obama,” according to the popular social network.
Conversation about “American Idol” season one winner Kelly Clarkson, who sang “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” during the ceremony, also exceeded talk about the president. Clarkson conversations were up 4,900 percent. Beyonce mentions also beat Clarkson’s on Twitter on Monday, according to Topsy analytics.
First lady Michelle Obama and Martin Luther King Jr. were also “trending topics” in Facebook conversations on Monday, according to Facebook’s analysis of Monday.
