House Republican caucus launches Spanish-language Twitter feed
{mosads}Already, Republicans have signaled a new willingness to consider immigration reform in the wake of last November’s election, joining Democrats in the Senate to outline a legislative framework that would provide a pathway to citizenship for the nation’s 11 million undocumented workers.
Republicans also tapped Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), the son of Cuban immigrants, to give the rebuttal to the president’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night. The Florida lawmaker plans to tape a Spanish-language version of his remarks to appear on networks like Telemundo and Univision.
