Veteran lawmakers join Twitter for first time

Meanwhile, Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) and Ben Quayle (R-Ariz.) today welcomed their freshman colleague Rep. Austin Scott (R-Ga.) to Twitter.

Scott tweeted in response:

Scott joined Twitter on January 6. He has 129 followers.

McMorris Rodgers also welcomed freshmen Reps. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) as @tgowdysc and @RepGosar, respectively, to Twitter. Both congressmen joined Twitter in January.
